At Malphrus Construction, we concentrate our resources on managing every project with excellence in communication, planning and scheduling. Each employee of Malphrus Construction strives to achieve a level of perfection during every phase of a project; from site preparation and clearing, to grading and paving, to installing underground utilities and fine-tuning all aspects of infrastructure development. We also strive to maintain open channels of communication with the owner's engineering representatives knowing that the relationship between our companies should be characterized by concern for one another’s well being through proactive problem solving and cooperation. Malphrus Construction recently had the honor of being named to ENR's list of the Top 400 Contractors in the US for the second year in a row. We are the 4th largest construction firm in South Carolina and the 24th in the Southeast. We're nearly 1,000 employees strong and our resources continue to grow. We use machine control technology extensively and maintain what is likely the newest fleet of equipment in the area.

Malphrus Construction was founded on a reputation for reliability. In 1940, OJ Malphrus began hauling dirt in the quiet town of Ridgeland, SC. Starting with a small fleet of dump trucks and a devout dedication to his work, O.J. soon found that his reputation for reliability was creating a growing demand for his services. It wasn't long before his company would be building roads throughout South Carolina and beyond. Today, the third generation of the family is leading the company into the future. Malphrus Construction is a privately held, family owned business. Founded on a reputation for reliability and integrity, we continue to honor the basic principles of honest hard work.
